Looking for Parents Like Us...

I never run out of things to say, but I think it's time to mix things up a bit and gain some fresh perspectives. Interested in blogging about the challenges of raising black and biracial children in today's crazy, mixed-up world? If so, lemme hear you say "yeah" at okparenting@yahoo.com. A new team of contributors (including yours truly) will debut in January 2007.

Now that's funny! You forgot to lay into the Bratz again, however...

Been reading since you started commenting on Rice Daddies and ARP, and soooo happy to find your blog (and the links in your blogroll too). My wife beat me to commenting on your blog, so I just wanted to say hi and that I love what you're doing. Your new group project sounds cool, and I can't wait to see it--when we started Rice Daddies almost a year ago, it was so hard to find other Asian American dad bloggers to participate, and though I had somehow stumbled onto lots of Asian American mom bloggers, it seemed strange that it was so hard to find other parents of color who were identifying as such and writing about raising kids of color. Anyway, happy holidays!

Thank you so much! I REALLY admire what you're doing as well (if you can't already tell by my comments on RD:)). I think it's fascinating – not surprising, though – that our readers are different, but share quite a few common concerns. And I think we're on to something here...

That said, I hope you don't mind my hitting you up with questions from time to time... *nervous laugh*

Happy Holidays to you, The Pumpkin (who is quite a pumpkin, I must say) and la dra!
