Meera, I'm so glad you're back, you've been greatly missed. In your absence, I was inspired to start my own blog and would love if you'd check it out (livingoutloudnow.blogspot.com.)
Back to Ladies First, Michelle is a huge part of my love for Obama. She's a bad babe and will be an extraordinary First Lady. It's absolutely refreshing to see such a respectful and loving Black couple.
Good to see you back on! Ask hubby if that's a fake mustache on the cover of Incognegro...
Am slipping a copy to my G-town colleague a(who's never on campus) Dr. Michael Eric Dyson. Frankly I can't stand his defense of the ghettocracy (I'm a Crouch-grouch myself) but he loves himself some barack & Michelle (Princeton Tiger, y'all) and he loves himself some graphic novels...
As for the post, the step-up in First lady's from--see, I can't even recall Bush's wife's name--to Michelle would be stratospheric. Only problem is that the White House would see for the first time a load of black hair care products, from kemi oyl to hotcombs, delivered by dudes dressed like the Blues Brothers...
Magazine maven turned wife and mommy who's lived, worked and played in Philadelphia, Atlanta, Brooklyn, Harlem and LA.
Recently moved from New York's Hudson Valley to Houston, Texas with her husband, daughter and fraternal twins.

Not the nanny? And here I thought God had finally answered my prayers. LOL. Hey sis! *waiving*
Whoo! She's bad-a$$! Love how she keeps it real.
I am so nervous about Tuesday. I think I may have a heart attack before then.
LOL! Love the new blog name, Meera.
Thanks, Carmen. Just telling it like it is.;)
